My creative approach is often driven by the thought "Wouldn't that be cool?" If an idea strikes me as fun or intriguing, it becomes a pathway worth exploring. Additionally, I find value in using my art as a means to process my thoughts and experiences. While my subject matter can vary widely, I particularly enjoy the challenge of creating character illustrations that are both unique and entertaining.
When it comes to themes, I tend to lean towards two directions. On one hand, I create pieces that bring joy to people without necessarily carrying a deep or profound meaning. On the other hand, I enjoy crafting cryptic or thought-provoking works, hoping to engage viewers and encourage them to delve into the layers of symbolism. Some themes that resonate with me include nostalgia, fear, and the comfort of familiarity.
In terms of artistic influences, I draw inspiration from the works of Gendy Tartakovsky, Craig McCracken, Pendleton Ward, Bruce Timm, and Saul Bass. Additionally, films like Fritz Lang's Metropolis, Tim Burton's Batman Duology, and Disney's Fantasia series have left a lasting impact on my creative perspective.
